Bolivia Expedition

Oct 2017

By: Laura Crawford Williams

The Frontera Wildlife team traveled to Bolivia with researcher Igor Berkunsky to study the critically endangered Blue-throated Macaw! The main objectives for this trip were to photograph the endangered Blue-throated Macaw, Giant Ant-eater, and Jaguar…. in the wild! Well, two out of three isn’t bad. We found the Macaws, never saw a Giant Ant-eater, and had a Jaguar visit our camp in the middle of the night! He circled the camp while ‘huffing’ for about 30 minutes. Too bad my camera was in the truck and no one had the courage to get out of their tent.
